SAAD Luzon Cluster conducts Teamwork and Values Formation Workshop

Philippine Carabao Center, Science City of Muñoz, NUEVA ECIJA, November 4-7, 2019 – The Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program of the Department of Agriculture (DA) conducted a three-day Teamwork and Values Formation Workshop to Luzon Cluster Area Coordinators (ACs) and staff of the Cordillera Administrative Region and Bicol Region which aims to strengthen the co-worker relationships, enhance communication, increase employee motivation and commitment, increase creativity and innovation in terms of problem solving, and provide an opportunity for employees to know each other better.

During the event, Ms. Maria Rechilda Dela Cueva, Shelley Gurrobat, and Cristine Margaret Atienza from Integrality Company facilitated the activity wherein participants shared their thoughts, feelings, and other behavioral factors that affect their relationship with one another.

At the end of the immersion, happy faces filled the event. Everyone has opened up on what was really happening inside an office.

One participant shared that employees may individually possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities for their job, but without teamwork, trust, and a common goal, communication gaps will eventually form and prevent the organization from realizing their vision.

The event made the ACs improve the line of communication within the team and remove communication barriers so that good ideas and best practices can be openly shared for greater productivity.

With the workshop, they now understand each other’s strengths, weaknesses, and interests as well.

The SAAD Mindanao A and B Clusters will also be holding the Values Formation Workshop this November 25-28 and December 9-12, 2019, respectively. ###
