BUKIDNON – The Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program of the Department of Agriculture (DA) in Bukidnon delivered 300 upgraded goats (250 females and 50 males) to 50 farmer-partners from the municipality of Damulog on 26 June 2019.
The distribution was assisted by the inspection team of DA Region 10 to help ensure the health of goats.
SAAD Bukidnon team also made sure that goats given are the ones that are ear-tagged and placed in the consolidation area for the Caprine Arthritis Encephalitis (CAE) test.
Each farmer received one (1) packet of the upgraded goats. One packet is equivalent to 5 females and 1 male of goats.
A week later after the delivery, there was no mortality found.
The intervention given is under the Goat Production Project of SAAD for FY 2018. ###
