SAAD Negros Oriental facilitates Specialized Training on Goat Production

NEGROS ORIENTAL—Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program of the Department of Agriculture (DA) organized a Specialized Training on Goat Production for the farmers of Negros Oriental, held in the Municipal Quadrangle of Poblacion Tayasan, Negros Oriental on 26-27 March 2018.

The training, which aimed to share knowledge on goat production to improve the farmers’ livelihood, was done by the SAAD Negros Oriental staff, led by its Provincial Coordinator (PC) Mr. Jaypee S. Soldivillo with the rest of his team in the PPMSO.

All out support was given by Tayasan Mayor Engr. Susano L. Ruperto Jr.; Engr. Angelina S. Cubalan, Mr. Francis Ray Ozoa, Ms. Angelique T. Babaran; La Libertad Area Coordinator (AC) Mr. Nelson Pacunla; Tayasan AC Mr. Ryan Maribojoc and Ayungon & Bindoy AC Mr. Rico Sienes; Assistant Agricultural Program Coordinating Officer (APCO) Mr. Virgilio A. Awayan, PATCO Livestock Head Mr. Jose Andro S. Vendiola, Provincial Agricultural Office (PAO) Personnel Virginia G. Tadiaman, and Municipal Agricultural Office (MAO) Sarah V. Ignacio.

Mr. Vendiola discussed topics covering goat production, while PAO staff gave lecture on Values Formation and Leadership. Assigned ACs also conducted LogFraming together with their farmer-partners. ###
