NEGROS ORIENTAL—Department of Agriculture (DA) – Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program in Region VII, through its Provincial Program Management Support Office (PPMSO) distributed hand tractors under its 2017 funds to SAAD farmers of Negros Oriental—specifically in Tayasan on 26 March; and Basay and Zamboanguita on 27 March 2018.
The distribution is facilitated SAAD Negros Oriental, led by its Provincial Coordinator (PC) Mr. Jaypee S. Soldivillo together with the rest of his PPMSO staff; Zamboanguita Area Coordinator Engr. Angelina S. Cubalan; Tayasan Area Coordinator Mr. Ryan Maribojoc, and Basay Area Coordinator Mr. Andro Shalom Ramirez.
All in all, eight (8) units of hand tractor were given to the municipalities of Basay (1 unit to Barangay Bal-os), Tayasan (5 units to Brgys. Guincalaban, Tambulan, Tanlad, Pindahan, and Bago), and Zamboanguita (2 units to Brgy. Mayabon).
The farmer-partners were grateful and happy to receive the SAAD interventions and they promise that they will use it for greater productivity of their livelihood.
SAAD Negros Oriental will regularly monitor the equipment provided to the said municipalities in Negros Oriental. ###
