SAAD Maguindanao conducts 3-day continuous distribution for ISLAM Project 2017

MAGUINDANAO —   The Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Maguindanao conducted a 3-day continuous distribution of interventions for the Integrated Sustainable Livelihood Assistance for Maguindanao (ISLAM) Project 2017 at Barangay Nekitan, Datu Odin Sinsuat; Barangay Kiga, North Upi; and Barangay Romongab, South Upi in Maguindanao last February 7 to 9, 2018.

The said project was derived from the concept of “APAT DAPAT”, wherein the twenty-five (25) beneficiaries in each municipality can receive a package of four (4) commodities such as Goat (Upgraded Breed), Chicken (Free range native), Mallard Duck, and Vegetables.

The seventy-five (75) farmer-beneficiaries of the said three (3) municipalities received a total of one thousand six hundred fifty (1,650) heads of mallard ducks and three hundred (300) 200-kg bags of feeds which includes one hundred fifty (150) bags of pre-layer and one hundred fifty (150) bags of pre-pallet.

The ISLAM Project 2017 of SAAD-Maguindanao will distribute interventions to eight (8) pioneer municipalities of Maguindanao for the other commodities until March 9, 2018. ###
