NEGROS ORIENTAL, PHILIPPINES —A series of consultative meetings for the Department of Agriculture – Special Area for Agricultural Development (DA-SAAD) Program was held in Negros Oriental on October 26, and November 15, 2017.
The activity were headed by the SAAD-NPMO Operations Cluster Head Fe Ybañez and SAAD-RPMSO Engr. Eugene C. Cahiles (RFO VII), together with SAAD Negros Oriental Staff. The other participants were Negros Oriental APCO (representing the Provincial Agriculture Technology Coordinating Office or PATCO), and Municipal and City Agriculturists from ten (10) municipality beneficiaries which are Ayungon, Basay, Bindoy, Canlaon City, Jimalalud, La Libertad, Mabinay, Siaton, Sta. Catalina, and Tayasan.
Interventions to be given to the ten (10) municipalities within the SAAD Program CY 2018 were discussed, as well as the existing guidelines. It was agreed that the funds for the interventions should be obligated as soon as possible in order to implement the project the soonest possible time as well.
