SAAD CALABARZON assists Tingloy FAs in creating by-laws

LIPA CITY, BATANGAS, November 17, 2023 – Influencing the quality of all future organizational decisions, creating by-laws is the most important part of establishing an association. With this, as an agricultural development program designed to help farmers in the marginalized rural communities, the Department of Agriculture – Special Area for Agricultural Development (DA-SAAD) CALABARZON is at full-length in assisting its beneficiaries from pre- to post- program implementation.

From September to October 2023, the program implementers assisted the nine (9) farmer associations (FAs) with 409 members in Tingloy, Batangas in the content of their by-laws – including rights and responsibilities of members and certain points so that the association runs smoothly. The series of activities were led by Operational, Planning, Budgeting, Monitoring , and Evaluation (OPBME) Lead, Mr. Girsky V. Anda; the Area Coordinators (ACs) assigned in Tingloy, Mr. Angelo Pabilonia and Mr. Melvin Dita  and three (3) Associate Project Officers from Regional Program Management Support Office.

Providing an outline from which they can carry out their mission, the by-laws encapsulated in the foundational documents of the FAs were ratified by the members. To date, the official documents were accepted and the FAs were formally recognized as an association under the Department of Labor and Employment. ###
