106 farmers implement the Integrated Livelihood Project in Linamon

LANAO DEL NORTE, September 25, 2020 – One hundred six (106) individual farmers in Linamon received Php 954,000.00 worth of garden tools with cacao seedlings from the Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program under the Integrated Livelihood Project of FY 2019.

Each beneficiary received a plastic drum, garden hose, farm gloves, budding knife, light hoe, sprinkler, shovel, bolo, pinakbet vegetable seeds, five pieces of seedling tray, and 16 cacao seedlings. The garden tools and seedlings are part of the Php 7.4 million Integrated Livelihood Project for the municipality.

The turn-over covered 7 barangays namely: Robocon (20 farmers), Purakan (16 farmers), Bosque (15 farmers), Napo (11 farmers), Samburon (15 farmers), Mago-ong (14 farmers), and Poblacion (15 farmers).

“I’m very thankful for the unending support of DA-SAAD in our LGU. Our farmer-beneficiaries are blessed enough to receive a complete package of garden tools. It will also serve as a COVID recovery program for them,” said Municipal Agriculture Officer (MAO) Irenila Obenza.

Also present during the turn-over were Municipal Mayor Randy J. Macapil and SAAD Area Coordinators. ###
