SAAD implementers complete Operations module of the Entrepreneurial Development Training

LOS BANOS, LAGUNA – The Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program of the Department of Agriculture (DA) held its third module of the Entrepreneurial Development Training last September 9-13, 2019 at the Baden Powell International Makiling, Jamboree Rd., Los Banos, Laguna.

Professors Dia Noelle F. Velasco and Mar B. Cruz from the Department of Agribusiness Management and Entrepreneurship (DAME) from the University of the Philippines Los Banos (UPLB) shared the tricks of the trade in Operations Management.

The training, which was the third of four modules, discussed topics such as product and service design, capacity planning, location planning, and layout planning. The first two modules, both also held in Los Banos, discussed Human Resource Management and Marketing respectively.

Forty-six SAAD personnel from the SAAD National Program Monitoring Office (NPMO) and Regional Field Offices of CAR, Regions IV-B, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, and XIII attended the four-day long training and workshop.

The final module of the training, which will be focused on Finance, is set to be held on Oct. 21-25, 2019 in Tagaytay City.###
