ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE – The Department of Agriculture (DA) – Regional Field Office IX finalizes its preparation for the conduct of the first ever Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Saga 2019 in a meeting at Top Plaza Hotel, Dipolog City from 26-28 of June 2019.
The SAAD Saga 2019 is a forum for the exceptional farmer-partners of the program by featuring their success stories and project management. The event will also showcase the products of the participating farmers.
However, the SAAD Saga will only feature the program’s farmer-partners from the initial 10 provinces who were provided production and livelihood interventions since 2017.
Included in the 10 provinces are Zamboanga del Norte; Apayao, Northern, Eastern & Western Samar; Negros Oriental; Lanao del Sur; Maguindanao; North Cotabato; and Sarangani.
DA-RFO IX is the first SAAD implementing unit to launch the event on July 19, 2019 at the Convention Center, Estaka, Dipolog City.
Eleven (11) farmers’ organizations from the province will participate in the forum and trade exhibit.
Meanwhile, the schedule of SAAD Saga event for the other nine provinces will be announced soon. ###
