FLORA, APAYAO—The Department of Agriculture – Special Area for Agricultural Development (DA- SAAD) Program in Apayao distributed Open Pollinated Variety (OPV) of corn to twenty-two (22) farmer-partners in the Municipality of Flora on 26 February 2018. Each were given a bag each.
Area Coordinator for Flora Ms. Marjorie Africano Tangliben headed the said activity with the help of the Municipal Local Government Unity (MLGU) and SAAD staff.
Apayao is one of the first ten (10) provinces covered by the SAAD Program in 2017 chosen based in the province’s high poverty incidence rate among families in 2015 (PSA). ###
