APAYAO, PHILIPPINES—Six (6) units Multi-Purpose Thresher (MPT) and a unit of Sugar Cane Presser (SCP) were awarded by DA-SAAD to five (5) farmer groups in Calanasan, Apayao. The turnover is held at the LGU Balay Ymandaya Function Hall on 1 October 2018.
The farmer groups are Bayag Farmers Association of Barangay Poblacion (2 MPT units), FAST of Barangay Tubungan (1 MPT unit), Naguilian Pantawid Association of Barangay Naguilian (1 MPT unit), Eleazar Farmers Association of Barangay Sabangan (2 MPT units), and Kabugawan Farmers’ Association of Barangay Kabugawan (1 SCP unit, with actual demo held at the LGU demo farm in Salacpat, Poblacion, Calanasan, Apayao).
The ceremony was done with the help of Mayor Martin Lucero B. Lawat, Municipal Planning Development Office’s Mr. Limuel Alday Abagao, Municipal Agriculturist Officer Ms. Luisa U. Magna, and Municipal Local Government Unit (MLGU)-SAAD Focal Person Mr. Dan Sagli. ###
