The Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program-Regional Field Office (RFO) XII turned-over P 2.26 million worth of check under the FY 2017 fund to the municipality of Kabacan, North Cotabato on July 19, 2018.
The funds are intended to cover four projects namely, mallard duck and balut production, native swine production, native goat production, and native chicken production.
These projects will be provided to and managed by 4 farmers’ associations namely, Bangilan Famer’s Association, Pisan Rural Improvement Club, Bannawag Fisherfolk Association, and Dagupan Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries–MPC.
Regional Executive Director Milagros C. Casis handed the check to Municipal Vice Mayor Myra Dulay Bade, together with Municipal Agriculturist Sasong S. Pakkal, and Sangguniang Bayan Chairman on Agriculture Hon. Reyman Saldivar.
Director Casis expressed her gratitude to DA Secretary Emmanuel Piñol and to President Duterte for the opportunities that the SAAD gave to several municipalities and to less fortunate people in Region 12. She said, “We are one lucky. DA reaches out even to the farthest places just to give projects but we hope you take care of the projects given to you”.
The following were also present during the event: SAAD Regional Program Support Office (RPMSO) and Provincial Program Support (PPMSO) Staff, Municipal and Barangay Officials, and farmer groups’ representatives. ###
