SAAD delivers vermicast and mallards to North Cotabato beneficiaries

NORTH COTABATO, PHILIPPINES — The Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) program delivered 260 bags of vermicast (organic compost) to the Banana Growers Association on December 27, 2017. This intervention aims to aid in the local farmers’ banana production.

The activity, a part of SAAD 2016 projects, was attended by OPAG headed by Engr. Arlene Cordero, James Dulay, MLGU Arakan appointed Municipal Agriculturist, and SAAD coordinators Rafael Porras, Jerome Tacadao, and Arthur Jimena. Expected distribution and social preparation are on January 9, 2018 targeting 100 beneficiaries.

Meanwhile, on the same day, the SAAD North Cotabato team distributed  600 heads of mallard ducks to President Roxas Integrated Farmers Association in Poblacion, President Roxas, Cotabato.

Along with the mallard ducks, twenty (20) rolls of net and feeds were also given to the beneficiaries. ###
