NORTH COTABATO – The Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program of the Department of Agriculture (DA) Regional Field Office XII distributed 300 native chickens and 7 carabaos to farmers of Mlang and Tulunan on 19-20 of March 2019.

Luz Village Farmers Association from Barangay Luz Village, Mlang received the chickens as well as 50 sacks of feeds, an incubator, 47 pieces of waterer, veterinary drugs and biologics.

Meanwhile, the Tanging Ina na Magbabaka ng Nabundasan (TIMANA) from Barangay Nabundasan, Tulunan received the carabaos.

The interventions given were under SAAD Program’s 2017 downloaded funds to both municipal local government units.

SAAD North Cotabato team shares that the projects aim at increasing the farming activities and economic status of the recipients. ###
