Negros Oriental farmers receive livestock under DA-SAAD Program

NEGROS ORIENTAL—The Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program of the Department of Agriculture (DA) held its 2nd batch of cattle distribution in the municipality of Dauin, Negros Oriental on 12 October 2018.

To increase the farmers’ income, a total of fifty-one (51) heads of cattle were given – thirty-three (33) heads to 33 individual farmers, and eighteen (18) heads to the Dauin Vegetable Grower Association or DAVEGA. Present to receive the cattle are the 33 individual farmers along with DAVEGA President Mr. Diego Elman and association members.

The activity is led by SAAD Negros Oriental Staff Provincial Coordinator (PC) Mr. Jaypee S. Soldivillo, Area Coordinator (AC) Engr. Maria Angelina Cubalan, and Ms. Marcelina Cabonelas, assisted by Information Technologist (IT) Mr. Karl C. Cabonelas, and Mr. Francis Ray G. Ozoa. Meanwhile, Dauin LGU Staff is headed by Municipal Agriculturist Ms. Arlene K. Corsame and staff.

The assigned AC will continue to monitor the intervention provided to the listed beneficiaries in Dauin. ###
