SAAD Negros Oriental disperses cattle to farmer-partners

NEGROS ORIENTAL—The Department of Agriculture (DA) – Special Area of Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program facilitated a cattle distribution in the Local Government (LGU) of Dauin on 21 July 2018.

The SAAD Program, continuously committed in increasing the farmer-partners’ livelihood income, provided thirty-seven (37) heads of cattle to 37 individual farmer-partners. Six (6) heads were given—on the other hand—to the Dauin Vegetable Grower Association (DAVEGA).

Facilitating the cattle distribution to the 37 farmer-partners and members of DAVEGA (headed by President Diego Elman), are Provincial Program Management Support Office (PPMSO) staff including SAAD Negros Oriental Staff Provincial Coordinator (PC) Mr. Jaypee S. Soldivillo, Area Coordinator (AC) Engr. Maria Angelina Cubalan (Dumaguete City), and AC Rico Sienes (Ayungon).

Regional Program Management Support Office (RPMSO) is also represented by its staff headed by the SAAD Focal Person for Region 7, Engr. Eugene C. Cahiles, together with Dauin LGU staff headed by Municipal Agriculturist (MA) Ms. Arlene K. Corsame.

The recipients were so happy that they can’t explain their emotion as seen from their tears of joy.

Eighty-five (85) more heads of cattle will benefit the same number of individual farmer-partners (which is 37), while twenty-nine (29) more will benefit DAVEGA. Until such time, SAAD ACs will continue to monitor the intervention given in Dauin, Negros Oriental. ###
