NEGROS ORIENTAL, PHILIPPINES—The Department of Agriculture (DA) – Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program Regional Field Office (RFO) VII held an Upland Rice Production Specialized Training in two barangays of Tayasan in Negros Oriental, Barangay Tambulan on March 19 to 20, 2018 and Pinalubngan on March 21 to 22, 2018.
Provincial Agricultural Office (PAO) personnel, Ms. Virginia G. Tadiaman, Mr. Roy Serion, and Ms. Clarence Cabrera, elaborated on different topics such as Pest Control, Land Preparation, Values Formation, as well as Leadership.
In addition, SAAD Negros Oriental Provincial Coordinator (PC) Mr. Jaypee S. Soldivillo together with SAAD staff discussed their LogFrame covering the upcoming DA – SAAD projects such as on corn mill and hybrid goat.
Also present in the activities held were Local Government Unit (LGU) support staff, with Tanlad Farmers Association (FA), Pinocawan, and Pinalubngan beneficiaries.
