SAAD orients Region IX and XII on Community Log frame for the Multi-Year Plan FY 2019-2022

KORONADAL, SOUTH COTABATO –  Department of Agriculture – Special Area for Agricultural Development (DA-SAAD) Program National Program Management Office (NPMO) conducted an Orientation on Community Logframe for the Multi-Year Plan with SAAD Focal Persons, Regional Program Management Support Office (RPMSO) staff, Provincial Coordinators (PCs), and Area Coordinators (ACs) from DA-Regional Field Offices (RFOs) IX and XII held at Koronadal City, South Cotabato on January 17-18, 2018.

The activity started with a welcome message by DA-RFO XII Regional Technical Director (RTD) Isaac Bangcaya. He congratulated the participants since they have the opportunity to help the poor farmers through the SAAD Program.

For her part, SAAD Program Director Bernadette San Juan briefed the participants especially the newly-hired SAAD staff of DA-RFOs IX and XII.  She emphasized that the SAAD staff should be like missionaries, doing committed work for poor farmers.

DA-RFO XII Regional Executive Director (RED) Milagros Casis also visited the participants and enjoined the SAAD staff to remain committed to their work.

The Logical Framework Approach (LFA) lectures and workshops were handled by SAAD-NPMO’s PR and Communications Head, Ulysses J. Lustria, Jr.  The LFA is a methodological tool for project planning and designing and will be used to come up with a multi-year plan of activities and budget.

SAAD-NPMO’s Operations Head, Fe Ybañez, discussed Multi-Year Planning as well as the required SAAD forms.

Lastly, beneficiary profiling concerns were discussed by SAAD-NPMO’s Information Technology Head Marvin Segovia. ###
