The Department of Agriculture- Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program conducts a consultation at Kings Hall, New Capitol Building, Sultan Kudarat (SK) today, September 07, 2017 in preparation for its implementation in SK in 2018.
DA-Assistant Secretary for Planning, Project Development and Special Projects and SAAD Program Director Lerey A. Panes spearheaded the said activity, oriented the participants on the policies and guidelines of SAAD and answered queries relative to its program implementation.
The Municipal Agriculturists, Mun. Planning and Development Officers, Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) members, Provincial Agricultural and Fisheries Council (PAFC) representatives from the 12 municipalities and one (1) city in Sultan Kudarat and the division heads in the province participated in the mentioned gathering.
Provincial Governor Sultan Pax S. Mangudadatu, Al Haj and Provincial Vice Governor Raden C. Sakaluran, Al Haj also graced the consultation and showed their support for the program.
Sultan Kudarat was chosen as one of the Top 10 Priority Provinces of the SAAD Program along with Catanduanes, Masbate, Bukidnon, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Siquijor, Sulu, Compostella Valey, and Sorsogon.
