To strengthen farmers’ competencies in leadership and organizational management under Phase 2 implementation, the Department of Agriculture – Special Area for Agricultural Development (DA-SAAD) in Central Luzon conducted a Team Building and Values Formation Training for Farmers last April 6, 2026, in Anao, Tarlac.
The training combined lectures and workshops to highlight the importance of cooperation and initiative in building a strong organization. Key topics on effective leadership and conflict management were also discussed. As the association moves toward enterprise development, the activity included basic sessions on marketing strategies and practical selling techniques to help increase their income.
A total of 28 members of the Pagkakaisa ng mga Magsasaka ng Brgy. Bantog Association, Inc., including new members, attended the training.
“Malaki po ang naitulong sa amin ng mga training ng DA-SAAD. Nadagdagan ang aming kaalaman sa makabagong pamamaraan ng paggawa, pati na rin sa pagpapalakas ng aming kasanayan sa komunikasyon at pakikipag-negosasyon. Natutunan din namin ang mga teknik sa pag-develop ng produkto at kung paano ito maibebenta sa merkado,” said Milagros V. Ramos, chairperson of the association.
(The training conducted by DA-SAAD has greatly helped us. We gained additional knowledge on modern production techniques, as well as improved our skills in communication and negotiation. We also learned techniques in product development and how to market our products effectively.)
She also expressed their interest in further improving their knowledge in marketing.
“Gusto pa po naming matutunan nang mas maigi ang marketing at pagbebenta ng aming mga produkto upang mas mapalago pa ang aming samahan,” she added.
(We hope to learn more about marketing and selling our products to further strengthen and grow our association.)
Through this initiative, DA-SAAD will continue to conduct similar training to capacitate farmer-beneficiaries in Central Luzon and support improvements in both agricultural practices and livelihood opportunities.
