The Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program in Northern Mindanao delivered agricultural inputs and equipment to four farmers’ associations in Camiguin last August 26, 2026, as part of its efforts to boost processing and packaging activities in the community.

The recipients of the inputs are the Tangaro Young Farmers’ Association (TYFA) in Catarman town, Owakan Chicken Farmers’ Association (OCFA) in Mahinog town, Sagay Integrated Organic Farmers’ Association (SIOFA) in Sagay town, and Butay Cut Flowers Association (BCFA) in Guinsiliban town.

TYFA and OCFA are beneficiaries of the Integrated Poultry and High-Value Crop (HVC) Production Project, SIOFA is the recipient of the Balut Production Project, and BCFA is the beneficiary of the Enhanced HVC Production Project.

Delivered interventions amounting Php 401,250 consisted of egg weighing scales, aluminum foils, gloves, hair nets, knives, mixing bowls, aprons, stainless steel trays, stainless steel wok/pan, storage boxes, vacuum sealer bags, wrapping films, ziplock bags, and ziplock stand-up pouches.

The assistance provided by the SAAD Program intends to strengthen farmers’ productivity by promoting value-adding activities, and generate sustainable income for the associations.

After delivering interventions, the SAAD Program will continue to monitor the use of inputs and provide necessary support to help ensure the sustainability of the beneficiaries’ livelihood projects and strengthen their income-generating opportunities. ###
