PUDTOL, APAYAO, PHILIPPINES—The Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program of the Department of Agriculture (DA) awarded various agricultural assistance under the FY 2016 fund in the municipality of Pudtol in Apayao on May 17, 2018.
Eight (8) bags of lowland certified rice seeds were given to eleven (11) farmers in Barangay (Brgy.) Mataguisi along with a package of urea and foliar fertilizers per farmer. Also, twenty (20) bags of upland rice seeds were distributed to twenty-seven (27) beneficiaries in Brgy. Mataguisi, also in Brgy. Lt. Balag, this time around with a package of foliar fertilizers per farmer.
Thirty-eight (38) farmers in Brgy. Alem, and Lydia benefited in the distribution of twenty-nine (29) bags of hybrid corn seeds.
The affair was headed by Municipal Agriculturist (MA) Marivic B. Lagmay, Municipal SAAD Focal Person Dr. Divine Biton, Senior Agriculturist of DA-CAR Dr. Pedro Pinos, and Agricultural Program Coordinating Officer (APCO) Ms. Digna Villanueva.
