Province Masbate
General Description Masbate is an island province in the Philippines located near the middle of the nation’s archipelago. its provincial capital is Masbate City. The province consists of three major Islands: Masbate, Ticao, Burias. Its agricultural area covers about 56.53% of total land area.

Masbate Province is the second largest supplier of cattle in the country that supplies the Metro Manila market, and it is known as the Rodeo Capital of the Philippines. It is also predominantly a fishing province. Its 21 municipalities are all coastal municipalities with about 270 barangays along its coast. Located within the fishing polygon, Masbate has rich fisheries and marine resources and is known as the home of the Marine Sanctuary.
