SAAD delivers upland rice seeds and knapsack sprayers to Sultan Kudarat farmers

SENATOR NINOY AQUINO, SULTAN KUDARAT – The Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program of the Department of Agriculture delivered upland rice seeds and knapsack sprayers to farmers from the municipality of Senator Ninoy Aquino, Sultan Kudarat on April 10 and 12, 2019.

The 170 farmers are from barangays Banali and Lagubang, who were selected to be part of SAAD Sultan Kudarat’s Upland Rice Production this 2019.

In total, 340 bags of upland rice seeds and 170 units of knapsack sprayers were distributed by the SAAD Area Coordinators with the help of the concerned local government unit offices.

Sultan Kudarat is one of SAAD’s 30 covered provinces which started implementing in 2018. All of the province’s 11 municipalities and one city were part of the program. ###
