ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE – The Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) team in Zamboanga del Norte spend their post holy week touring at the Mushroom Production Facility in the municipality of Sibutad back-to-back with an ocular survey for corn production warehouse in Labason on April 21, 2017.
Prior to such activity, the SAAD Zanorte Provincial Program Management Support Office (PPMSO) through its Area Coordinator, Nadzmar Abdulatip, paid a courtesy call to Sibutad Mayor Eufacio Caidic and briefed the local executive on the SAAD program. Municipal Agriculturist Norma Lozada assisted the team in their tour at the mushroom facility shortly after.
The mentioned center will serve as the support mechanism for the implementation of a Mushroom Production Project, funded by the SAAD Program, which targets to help five (5) associations with about a hundred (100) beneficiaries. The Sibutad is a fifth-class municipality in the Zamboanga del Norte.
Meanwhile, another team led by AC Al-Anas Yusop, along with barangay Lawigan chairman Dominador Tiempo in Labason conducted an ocular survey of the area for corn production project warehouse of Labason Women’s Association.
The project is worth P1.9 million to be funded by the SAAD Program. The land for the warehouse is donated to the Labason Women’s Association by Rev. Fr. Asquirion Amora Santisas.
